CABS Viewer

The Lymeware Carrier Access Billing System (CABS) Billing Outputs Specifications (BOS) Billing Data Tape (BDT) file Viewer product is a command-line utility to reformat CABS BDT files into several different output formats, including:

 - text, with several data options,
 - CSV (comma-delimited format) which can be imported in to Microsoft Excel,
 - XML, with standard BDT field names, and
 - HTML, viewable in any web browser.

 This tool is available as a Linux, Solaris and Windows 2000/XP/Vista product.

Download and install

Linux users should download the cabsviewer RPM package, and install the file with

rpm -i rpmfile to install CABS Viewer to /usr/local/bin/.

Solaris users should download the cabsviewer package, and install the file with

gzip -dc tar.gz_file | tar xvf -; pkg -d. rpmfile to install CABS Viewer to /opt/cviewer/.

Windows users should download the Windows Setup exe file, unzip the contents and copy the files to "somewhere sensible". If you have trouble reading the text files in Notepad try Wordpad.

Requesting a license key

All new users need to request a license key to operate CABS Viewer on any platform.  A customer-specific license key file is required to run the CABS Viewer program.  This license file will be supplied by Lymeware if the following information is supplied via email to our sales department :

    Customer/Company Name:

    Platform: [either Linux, Solaris, or Windows 2000/XP/Vista]
    Target Machine IP Address:
    Target Machine Host ID: (run the hostid command to display)
    Contact Person:
    Contact Phone Number:
    Contact E-Mail Address:

The license file will be delivered to the Contact E-Mail Address.
